Up to 25% faster heating and more hot water

Truma Combi 6 E with new features

4 Jan 2021

The Truma Combi E hybrid heaters offer complete versatility. They can be operated with gas, electric or a combination of both. This is enabled by two electric 900 W heating elements which are integrated into the heat exchanger.

Electric mode heating

  • Use the all-inclusive campsite electricity and run the heater with zero emissions
  • Heat without the gas burner and therefore in virtual silence – a practical choice especially at night

Gas mode heating

  • Camp in a fully self-sufficient manner

Combined mode heating

• Heat with a combination of gas and one (900 W) or two (1,800 W) electric heating elements and therefore save gas

New features

In addition to these benefits, Truma has also further developed the Combi 6 E. It now offers two new functions:

Up to 25% faster heat-up

  • In Boost mode, the Combi 6 E heats up the interior up to 25% faster – perfect for autumnal or wintery days if the RV has cooled down.
  • For this purpose, in mixed mode 900 W heating power is added from the two electric heating elements to the 6,000 W, which is generated by the gas burner. The new Truma Combi 6 E therefore offers an overall output of a powerful 6,900 W.
  • The Boost function is only available if the difference between the temperature in the interior and the set target temperature is greater than 10°C and the vehicle is connected to 230 V.

Improved hot water performance

Great news for campers who enjoy a shower in the vehicle: the water characteristic has been changed in the “HOT” setting, meaning that the water now reaches a higher temperature. Result: The new Combi 6 E provides hot water for longer, meaning you can enjoy a long shower.

Take note next time you buy a vehicle

Campers who want to have flexibility where the energy source is concerned, enjoy the benefit of fast heating and like to take their time in the shower, should make sure when purchasing their motor home or caravan that a Truma Combi E or 6 E is installed. As the electric heating elements are fitted in the heat exchanger of the heater and cannot be retrofitted. The new Combi 6 E is already integrated into the 2020 vehicle model.
